Harjit Singh I bought my first SLR camera in 2006, so the world of photography is relatively new for me. However, it has quickly developed into a passion and a hobby that I find exhilarating and rewarding. One reason for this is that it is a pursuit that merges both the technical and artistic. These two aspects intertwine in a harmonious way as each complement and enhance the other: one cannot achieve a great final product without the other. Certainly, as a new artist in this medium, there are many facets of photography that are fresh and new to me and the TDPC has been of great value in my learning phase as the depth of talent and interaction with other like-minded individuals has greatly accelerated my learning curve. I enjoy many types of styles and subject matters such as architecture, landscape, portraiture, fine art and such. Regardless of the subject matter, I do tend towards a bias for monochrome images. I find that a photograph is in essence time captured and memory preserved; monochrome captures that essence exquisitely. |
